Announcements:
Kudos to Chorale and Chamber Singers for a very beautiful concert on Sunday afternoon at the Feast of Carols!
All County Auditions will be held on Saturday, 12/10 at Central Square High School. Everyone has been given their quartet times. Please plan to arrive around 9:30am. Sometimes they run early. Dress nicely!
Upcoming performances:
Holiday Concert will be held on Wednesday, 12/14, 7:30pm in the OHS Theater. All of the OHS choirs will be performing.
Chamber Singers will perform for the Rotary Club on Tuesday, 12/20 for their noon luncheon. Attire is black slacks, festive shirt/blouse, ties for the men, Santa hats for all. We will have pizza delivered at the school following the performance. Everyone is asked to bring in $2 to help cover the cost.
Chamber Singes will perform with the OHS Jazz Band on Wednesday, 12/21. Attire will be the same as the Rotary performance. Plan to arrive at OHS by 7:30pm to warm-up. We will sing during their band change.
Soup and Song Night Cabaret, January 14th, 5-8pm, Hall Newman Center. Tickets will be available starting this week. Admission: $10 which includes a fabulous show and some warm soup/chili and a beverage!
The Sound of Music, February 10,11, 2012, OHS Theater, 7:30pm. Stay tuned for ticket sale information.

Fundraisers:
Ongoing is our Bottle and Can collection. Please drop off your bottles and cans at either the East or West side Great Lakes Redemption Center and tell them to credit the OHS Chamber Singers. We thank you for all the help and support you have given us thus far!

DeeDee Cheesecake orders are being distributed in school this week.
Thirty One orders are due Thursday, 12/8. You may drop off your order forms that evening with Mrs. Abbott in the main hallway outside the Choral Room between 6:30-7pm.
A Feast of Carols

The Oswego High School Chorale and Chamber Singers performed with the SUNY Oswego College Choir and State Singers at the Waterman Theatre recently. The program took place on Sunday December 4, 2011 on the S.U.N.Y. Oswego College campus. Veronica Shaver conducted the OHS groups and Dr. Clay W. Price conducted the College groups; Rebecca Horning was the accompanist for the OHS students.
This festive program incorporated an audience participation sing-a-long as a clever means to have the house lights up while the different choirs took the stage. The audience took part in singing “Jingle Bells” (John Pierpont), “Joy To The World” (G.F. Handel, adapt. and arr. Mason), “Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer” (Johnny Marks), and “O Christmas Tree” (traditional German).

Cosmic Bowling

The OHS Chamber Singers are having a Cosmic Bowling Fundraiser! Come celebrate the end of the school year and kick off the summer with a bowling party for a great cause.

Tickets: $15
Tickets can be purchased from any OHS Chamber Singer Member. A limited number of tickets may be available at the door. Thank you for supporting us!

Bottle and Can Fundraiser

Please donate your bottles and cans and help send the Chamber Singers to Carnegie Hall.
The Great lakes Redemption Center (west on Hillside/Gardenier Rd.) account is active. The east side location (in the old Garafolo’s House of Sausage on E. 9th and Bridge Sts.) will have an account for us by the weekend. Thanks to Ed Stacy for you help!
Make sure to tell them your bottles & cans are for the OHS Chamber Singers.
